Tam O'Shanter

TOS is located in Bellevue, Washington overlooking beautiful Lake Sammamish just a 20-minute drive east of Seattle. Tam O'Shanter Golf and Country Club is a non-profit homeowners association that includes 498 single-family residential properties surrounding a challenging 9-hole golf course, practice facility, fully equipped Pro Shop, clubhouse complete with full Catering & Food and Beverage services and fun filled recreational facilities. Homes in the Tam O'Shanter neighborhood feature wonderful views of the lake, the golf course, the Cascade Mountains and ever-present Mt. Rainier. We are truly a unique, friendly, family oriented community designed and operated for the enjoyment of our members. With enforced covenants to maintain the stability and character of the community, the TOS amenities are available to member families through a mandatory monthly dues program. The purchase of a home in the TOS Neighborhood is all it takes for newcomers to join in the fun.

With all the activities that are available, newcomers do not stay "new" for long. Whether it is enjoying any of the outstanding food & beverage events put on by our Chef, or taking lessons in golf, tennis or swimming from one of our professional staff, members and their guests enjoy some of the finest service available. And we don't forget the kids! Tam O'Shanter offers junior programs in golf, swimming and tennis, as well as a large array of community activities geared toward the whole family. Operated by a professional staff of service oriented team members, the facilities at TOS provide an outstanding Calendar of Events for it's membership including both social and recreational venues. Garden Club, Bridge Club and Family Bingo are but a small sampling of the many events and activities put on for the benefit of our members in addition to the golf, swimming and tennis.


Tam O'Shanter History
The developer, Sherwood Development Co., planned the community in 1964. The developers changed the name to Tam O'Shanter in 1965, incorporating in February of that year, and began developing the community in (9) phases: each phase was referred to as a "Park", hence T.O.S. Park 1, Park 2, etc. The first homes in Tam O'Shanter were built in 1965. The Golf Course opened in 1966 and at that time the Maintenance Shop was constructed.

In 1967, the Clubhouse and Swimming Pool facilities were added. The Common Properties were purchased from the developer in 1969. The Corporation purchased the park and tennis property from the developer in 1973. Common properties for the enjoyment of all members include the golf course, clubhouse with Par Tee room, swimming pool, tennis courts and park.
