Tam o'Shanter Golf & Country Club is a private residential community located between Bellevue and Redmond Washington, with sweeping views of Lake Sammamish and the Cascade Mountains. Amenities include a challenging golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts, recreational park, and clubhouse. The recreational park includes four tennis courts, a playground, volleyball and basketball courts. The community is centrally located just minutes from dining and shopping in downtown Bellevue, award-winning schools and convenient access to SR-520, I-90 and the Microsoft Campus.
Tam o'Shanter is home to more than 500 families, and it is not uncommon to find neighbors who have been with us for multiple generations.
Clubhouse
The clubhouse, rebuilt in 2005, boasts a restaurant for casual dining, including separate adult and family areas, and banquet facilities for special occasions. It also serves as a gathering place for many community events and activities including family bingo nights, Easter brunch, adult Halloween party, Poker, Bridge, Mah Jongg and more.
Golf
The par - 71 golf course is meticulously maintained and staffed by two PGA golf professionals. Opened for play in 1967, it poses numerous challenges to players of all skill levels. Tam o'Shanter offers one of the largest youth Junior Golf programs in the area. Youth ages 8 and up participate in weekly summer lessons geared for 3, 6, 9 and 18 hole players. Juniors can also participate in regular events that run from February to November and include InterClub team competitions and a Junior Club Championship. The Men's Club and TAMS Ladies Club sponsor events and tournaments. Group and private lessons are available to all members of all ages.
Tennis & Park
The recreational park includes four tennis courts, a playground, a picnic shelter, volleyball and basketball courts. Members have the opportunity to participate in tennis lessons regardless of skill level and experience. Youth also have the opportunity to compete against other local clubs as part of the Junior Eastside Tennis Leagues ( JET ) with a championship tournament at the end of the season. Lessons are offered for both youth and adult players of all skill levels.
Pool
Members enjoy a four lane 25 - yard pool that sits adjacent to the clubhouse. The pool provides lap swimmers their own lane, while the balance of the pool is open for swimmers of all levels. In addition to the full - size pool, a baby pool is available for parents and tots. The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Swim programs include Youth Lessons, Swim Team, Water Polo and Masters Swim. Private lessons are also available. Tam o'Shanter participates in the Midlakes Swim League - a fun recreational league with 27 teams.
Recreation
The Tam o'Shanter community sponsors many activities for members and families including a Fishing Derby, Easter Egg Hunt at the Park, 4th of July Party and Parade, Kids and Adult Halloween Parties, Family Bingo and Santa Brunch. Adults can also participate in Bridge, Mah Jongg and Men's Poker Night.
